Feminists constantly overlook the near constant levels of misogyny that emanates from supposed allies because they think it’s okay when referring to fictional characters. The fact that the xenophobic anti Japanese narrative is constantly employed because hack writers are incapable of differentiating a creator from their home country due to a stubborn refusal to understand a culture other than their own.  I am hoping to also reach other feminists with this aside from the usual gamer crowd simply because it feels like a lot of feminists will support this just because it will make the GamerGate crowd angry and because these “allies” claim to be on our side when they really don’t respect us at all unless we agree with them. I must confess that I initially supported GamerGate, not the word “initially.” While I was in my shitty anti feminist phase at the time, I also did specifically want game journalism to be stop being so damned corrupt and scummy, and for a brief period, gamers were actually focused on that, albeit a bit too much on stuff that was also related to social justice. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for everything to get derailed because too many gamers focused exclusively on Sarkeesian, Zoe Quinn, and Brianna Wu while allowing themselves to be used by scumbags like Milo who never cared about games. While my opinions on feminism have greatly changed since then, my opinions on game journalism have not; I simply realized that feminists have plenty of reasons to dislike it as well.  Do not be fooled.
